Chairman Mao's Little Red Book told of his ideas and beliefs of channging china for the better. It told how he believed destroying the 4 Olds would be a positive influence on China's Culture. This book was carried in a smaller, pocket-sized form which would be used by the Red Gaurds. It also talked about how people with black backgrounds (if they have or had a landlord or a rightist in their family at any point in time) should be punished for that reason. The bookwas first distributed to delegates during a conference on January 5 1964. Through his book, Chairman Mao was able to change peoples way of thinking thus giving power over China, a power which he had not deserved.
